It’s been a while…

Hi all!

It’s been a crazy past few months! Ada’s party went off without a hitch, I helped two friends celebrate the imminent arrival of their first babies (one of whom has already joined us and is just as gorgeous as her mama), we took a trip to Germany, I helped a friend to make her wedding day as special as she hoped it would be, took Ada on her first camping trip, and Ada and I went to Oklahoma.

Hope that helps to explain why I’ve been absent. And now, if you are not related to me, you may wish to skip the rest of this post.

I feel like I’d be remiss to not post a little love for my girl, even if it’s a couple of months late in getting to the website.

Ada Bee, you’ve made our lives so wonderful ever since you joined us.

This first year has been amazing, and we’ve changed and grown at least as much as you have.

We can’t imagine the world without you now. <3

On to the party details: we had a great time! The size of the crowd meant we had to tone down the Martha Stewart-y stuff and concentrate more on just making sure everyone had a good time, but thankfully, we have some amazing friends who worked for hours helping me decorate cupcakes, unfolding tissue pom-pom garlands, and hanging up party decorations. It all turned out beautifully in the end, I think!
